LASIK stands for LASER IN-SITU KERATOMILEUSIS. It is a form of laser vision correction that is capable of correcting a wide range of glass numbers. The procedure uses a computer-controlled Excimer laser to correct your glass number. Lasik is a permanent correction of your glass number.

Laser eye surgery treatment is virtually painless.We apply a cool laser beam on the surface of your eye to correct the number permanently. You may experience some mild to moderate watering of the eyes for a few hours after a LASIK treatment. You will be quite comfortable the same evening after Lasik. It is usually performed under eye drop anaesthesia. These eye drops numb your eye for about 10 minutes during which the procedure is usually completed.

The Laser treatment takes about 12-15 minutes in the Laser Suite. You will be allowed to go home and rest. Your vision will be back to normal, without your glasses of course, by the next morning. You can go back to work after 2 days. Most of our patients have their Lasik done on Friday ,and are back to work by Monday Morning.

You will be instructed not to touch or rub your eye for the first two days after Lasik. You will be given protective sunglasses to wear for 2 days after Lasik. You will be given some lubricating and antibiotic eye drops ,put them as advised by the Dr. Avoid Swimming and Contact Sports like Cricket, Tennis, Squash for at least two weeks.
